On 5 April 2019, the Armée de L'Air Dassault Mirage 2000D "680 / 3-XM" was seen at Leeuwarden Air Base during Frisian Flag 2019, a multinational exercise in the Netherlands. The Dassault Mirage 2000D "680 / 3-XM" is operated by Escadron de Chasse 3/3 Ardennes also known as EC03.003. On 10 October 1943, the 3/3 "Ardennes" fighter squadron was original set up as the "ARDENNES" fighter group in Rayak in the Middle East, where it served missions covering the coasts of Syria and Palestine. Today, the Escadron de Chasse 3/3 "Ardennes", the French Air Force combat squadron EC02.003 is stationed on BA133 Air Base Nancy Ochey and is equipped with the Mirage 2000D. Dassault Mirage 2000D s/n 554 was seen first in service with Escadron de Chasse 2/3 Champagne as "677 / 3-XM" in Decmber 2003. Over the years also code "680 / 133-XM" and call sign F-UGXM were used.
