McDonnell Douglas MD-90-30 s/n 53462 l/n 2149 flew first on 1 November 1996. The aircraft was delivered as LN-ROB to SAS - Scandinavian Airlines System on 21 December 1996. In November 2005, the airliner was wfu and the registration LN-ROB was cancelled in February 2006. On 1 March 2006, the aircraft was registered HB-JIF in Switzerland with Scandinavian Airlines System as owner and Hello AG, Basel, as operator. The next day, the aircraft entered service with Iceland Express with Hello AG handling the flight operations. On 1 September 2008, the aircraft returned in service with Hello Airlines. On 26 August 2009, the aircraft was used by the football team AOK Thessaloniki for the trip to the Netherlands as they had to play the UEFA Cup match against FC Heerenveen. On 28 August, the aircraft flew back to Greece.
