The BRM Aero Bristell UL and its LSA modification in the three-wheel fixed undercarriage configuration is a high-performance single-engine, two-seat, low-wing, all metal microlight airplane with a fixed tricycle undercarriage with steerable nosewheel. BRM Aero s.r.o. in Uherské Hradisté, Czech Republic, was established for the development, production, sale and maintenance of ultra-light and light sport aeroplanes designed by Milan Bristela. BRM Aero makes the complete aeroplane construction, which includes production of subassemblies, production of weldments, painting, installation of the avionics, engines, conducting flight tests of completed aircraft, preparing original documentation and handover to customers, warranty and after sales service and spare parts supply. The company also produces its own prototypes and assembly jigs. Development of the BRM Aero Bristell was announced in 2010. Czech UL type certification was given on 14 December 2011, German type certification for the Bristell UL followed on 17 September 2012. The ultra-light aeroplane Bristell UL and its LSA modification was designed to comply with both European microlight rules and also the US light-sport aircraft regulations, by using different versions for each regulatory environment. The aircraft is designed for use in flight training at flight schools, glider towing and recreational flying. Thanks to the combined comfort of good ergonomic design in the largest cockpit in its category, this aeroplane is ideal for longer cross-country flights. A tailwheel version of the Bristell is known as TDO, and the Bristell LSA RG version has a retractable undercarriage. BRM Aero produced already over 725 Bristell aircraft.

On 2 March 2024, the 2024-built BRM Aero Bristell LSA-K s/n 726 D-MBUQ was seen at Ultraleicht Flugplatz Dankern near Haren (Ems) in Germany.
