Designed originally for agricultural duties under the designation SKh-1, the An-2 utility transport flew for the first time on 31 August 1947. Of robust construction and suitable for operations from short, semi-prepared strips, the Antonov An-2 has been manufactured for both military and civil roles. The An-2 remained in production until 1991. Over 18.000 of the different types were built in the Ukraine (5000), Poland (12000) and China (1000).
The ICAO Aircraft Type Designator for the Antonov An-2T is AN2

On 12 Julyu 1958, Antonov An-2T s/n 195(173)04 was registered DM-SKK with the Deutsche Lufthansa of the former DDR took delivery of the DM-SKK on 12 July 1958. The aircraft was built as an An-2T (Transportnyi) by Antonov in Kiev, Ukraine. On 1 September 1963, Antonov An-2T was transferred to Interflug / Agrarflug. In 1969, An-2T DM-SKK was transferred to Interflug / FAW. On 15 December 1982, the aircraft was registered DDR-SKK with Interflug/ FIF. On 1 September 1990, the aircraft was registered D-FOKK as an Antonov An-2T(P) with Berliner Spezialflug. In September 1992, An-2T(P) D-FOKK was registered with Mrs. B. Gross. In June 1995, An-2T(P) D-FOKK entered service with Flugservice Berlin (FSB). In 2000, Antonov An-2T(P) D-FOKK was transferred to Classic Wings. In 2001, the aircraft was seen first in its 'Deutsche Lufthansa DM-SKK' colors.
On 30 September 2001, Antonov An-2T(P) D-FOKK was seen at Flugplatz Nordhorn-Lingen "Klausheide" (EDWN) as DM-SKK in the original Deutsche Lufthansa colors.
