The Pipistrel Virus SW 121A Explorer is a side-by-side two-seater, single-engine, high-wing aircraft with a fixed tricycle
nose wheel type landing gear. The Virus SW121A Explorer is a further development of the Virus SW121 (now Legacy). The full
composite construction Pipistrel Virus SW 121A Explorer is developed and built by Pipistrel d.o.o. Ajdovscina in Slovenia and is
very suitable for flying lessons. The SW121A featurs advanced bizjet touchscreen glass cockpit technology & is approved for
intentional spins and Night VFR. The fixed pitch 3-bladed propellor of the Pipistrel Virus SW 121A is powered by a single Rotax 912 S3 engine,
running on regular automotive fuel engine.
The Explorer has a maximum take-off weight of 600 kg and has a wingspan of 10.70 meters and a length of 6.47 meters. The aircraft reaches a
maximum height of 5486m. The maximum climb rate is given as 5.3 m/sec. The cabin area is encased with energy absorbing structures made
