Boeing 737-7L9 c/n 28010 l/n 396 flew first on as N1786B on 1 October 1999. The aircraft was delivered to Maersk Air as OY-MRG on 19 October 1999. In October 2005, the OY-MRG was transferred to Sterling Airlines and winglets were fitted the same year. On 3 December 2008 Cimber Air bought parts of Sterling Airlines, which had filed for bankruptcy on 29 October 2008. The new airline was named Cimber-Sterling and Boeing 737-7L9 OY-MRG entered service with Cimber Sterling in May 2009. Boeing OY-MRG was seen at Groningen Airport Eelde in the Netherlands on a passenger flight to Norway.
