The Light Aero Avid Flyer is a two-seat ultralight aeroplane with a fixed tricycle undercarriage. In 1983, Dean Wilson developed the Avid Flyer, a lightweight aircraft with Cuyana engine and tricycle landing gears. It was an instant success at Oshkosh in 1983 and won the "Best New Design" award. Nowadays Avid Aircraft, Montana, USA produce the homebuilt kits of the Avid aircrafts. The Mark IV is offered as a folding wing kit-plane; the composition of the building package is tuned on the customer wishes. The customer can choose the engine, tri-gear or tail wheel, wing, like the S.T.O.L.-wing, etc.
