The Turkish charter airliner Sky Airlines (SHY) was established in 2000
as an affiliate of the KayiGroup, located in Antalya. Commercial flights
started with a fleet of 2 Boeing 737-400 airliners on 12 April 2001. In
May 2002, Boeing 737-4Q8 25372 s/n 2280 TC-SKD was leased from ILFC and is operated by
Sky Airlines since. The aircraft was originally built for ILFC and flew
first on 24 April 1992. The Boeing was leased first by THY and delivered
as TC-JDI on 8 May 1992. When the Boeing 737-4Q8 entered service with
Sky Airlines in May 2002, the aircraft was re-registered TC-SKD. On 5 June 2004, Sky Airlines' Boeing 737-4Q8 TC-SKD "Black Eagle" was
seen at Groningen Airport Eelde (EHGG/GRQ). The ICAO Aircraft Type Designator for the Boeing 737-4Q8 is B734 |
